➢ Returning gardeners will pay a fee of $10 per plot to help cover garden expenses (new gardeners pay $45 first year).
➢ I will have something planted in the garden by June 1st and keep it planted all summer long.
➢ If I must abandon my plot for any reason, I will notify the garden leadership within two (2) weeks at [email protected].
➢ I will keep weeds at a minimum and maintain the areas immediately surrounding my plot. (There will be scheduled group
weeding days throughout the season).
➢ If my plot becomes unkempt, I understand I will be given two (2) weeks notice to clean it up. At that time, it will be
reassigned or tilled in.
➢ I will keep trash and litter out of the plot and garden, as well as from adjacent pathways and fences.
➢ I will use trash receptacles for trash and yellow recycling bins for recycling materials.
➢ I will dispose of all organic (plant) matter in the compost bins and non-organics in the garbage cans.
➢ I will participate in the spring and fall cleanup of the garden.
➢ I will pick only my own crops unless given permission by another plot user.
➢ Ripened produce, unless harvested, will be picked by the garden board and donated after notification.
➢ I will use only community garden board approved fertilizers, pesticides or weed repellents.
➢ I agree to volunteer four (4) hours during the season toward community gardening efforts or participate in the community
service buyout for $40.00.
➢ I will not bring pets into the garden.
➢ I will not smoke in the garden.
➢ I will keep all vertical structure on my plot lower than 5’ (1.5m) and at least 8” (20cm) from the plot border. No metal
structures are allowed in the garden.
➢ I will have fun!
➢ The person responsible for the plot must be at least 18 years of age.
Parking - A few parking spots are provided in front of the garden as designated by posted signs. If these are filled, there is additional parking in the municipal parking lots. DO NOT WALK THROUGH THE POLICE PARKING LOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
I understand that neither the garden group nor owners of the land are responsible for my actions. I THEREFORE AGREE TO HOLD HARMLESS THE GARDEN GROUP AND OWNERS OF THE LAND FOR ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGE, LOSS OR CLAIM THAT OCCURS IN CONNECTION WITH USE OF THE GARDEN BY ME OR ANY OF MY GUESTS.
